Hear the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra perform three virtuoso works of the 20th and 21st centuries. The Pulitzer Prize-winning vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth joins the orchestra for Berio’s landmark Sinfonia(1968), originally performed by the Swingle Singers with the New York Philharmonic under Leonard Bernstein. Rachel Schutz performs Ligeti’s madcapMysteriesoftheMacabre(1992), and visiting composer Ken Ueno, overtone singer, performs Ona Sufficient Condition for the Existence of Most Specific Hypothesis (2008).
